LUFS is a little better at determining “loudness” then RMS but its still a metering formula and doesn’t really determine how “loud” something is to us. If we look up the fletcher munson curve it basically displays that human hearing is more sensitive in the midrange.

I'm aware that Bandcamp doesn't have a standard for loudness, or a built in normalization for audio. I'm just wondering what LUFS. This measurement is basically like RMS but with a twist. It takes into account how humans perceive loudness and it is currently the most accurate way of measuring loudness. The main difference compared to RMS is that LUFS uses filters to shape the sound before processing in a similar way to how we hear the sound. An integrated level of roughly -12 LUFS, with peaks no higher than -1 dBTP, and a max short term level of no more than -10 or -9 LUFS is likely to get turned down at least a little on all the major streaming platforms (at least for now).
